Health Education and Wellness at MSU

The goal of MSU on the Move is to create a healthier culture at Mississippi State University! A healthier culture comes not only from knowing that health is important, but stems from putting healthier practices in place. Through health screenings, a public outdoor walking track, cooking demonstrations, an empowering website resource, and recognition for our healthy Super Dawgs , MSU on the Move will educate, motivate, and equip you to feel great and be healthy! The MSU on the Move program is made possible by a grant provided by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation.

The MSU on the Move, Blue Cross and Blue Shield nutrition and fitness initiative, health screenings will be available for all students, faculty and staff beginning Monday [Jan. 7]. What a perfect time of year to know your health numbers and commit to losing weight and getting in shape. The MSU on the Move program welcomes you if this is your first screening for the program, or if you participated in the fall semester screenings. Here's how it works:

  1. Participate in screening
  2. For 9 weeks, lose weight and get in shape
  3. Participate in post-screening

Please mark your calendar for the following Post-Screening dates. All screening times are from 8-11 a.m. For the best result, fast 8-12 hours before screening.
